Overview of week 8

 Hi parents,

Please bring candy for Halloween!

Creative writing: we wrote two essays. One friendly informal letter and one formal letter.

Science: We continued with diseases and injuries. I will finish this unit this week.

Math: We started and completed angle problems. 

Grammar: We finished comparatives and superlatives and had a quiz.

Journeys: In hardcover we read about Old Yeller and how a dog saved a boy from a bear attack.

In softcover we read about a boy moving to the boring rural area to live.

Overview of Week 7

 Hi parents,

I need to submit the exams back to the school so please have the students bring it back on Monday.

Science: We started the Unit on diseases and injuries. This is more interesting than the last unit because it affects them in their daily lives.

Math: We started with angles. Most students caught on pretty quickly.

Grammar: We started with comparatives and superlatives this week. We will finish next week and have a quiz.

Journeys: We read a story about the American Chestnut tree.

Overview of Week 5

 Hi parents

Next week is exam week. I will give out the review sheet answers IN CLASS. 

I WILL BE POSTING REVIEW GAMES FOR ENGLISH on WEDNESDAY and for MATH/SCIENCE on THURSDAY.

Creative writing: We wrote an essay about the best classroom pet. 502 Class will finish this essay next week.

Science: We finished circulatory system and did the self check. I will post up the science slides.

Math: We finished word problems on Monday. I sent these books back on Wed.

Grammar: We just had a quiz on U2. There won't be any quiz on U3. However, it will be on the exam.

Journeys: We read a story about teamwork and working with strangers.
